Holy skincare grail tips for every feminine woman……
1. Drink H2O
Our skin needs hydration and moisture to maintain its moisture barrier. While products applied topically can work to a certain degree. It's incomparable to the hydration from within. Drinking 8 glasses of water a day also helps your body to flush out toxins. You can tell when you need to up your water intake when your skin looks and feels dull & dehydrated.
2. Use Sunscreen
If nothing else, you should be using a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 to protect your skin from UVA/UVB rays and free radicals in the atmosphere. Yes, that includes us dark skin gals. My favorite sunscreen is Unsun Mineral tinted sunscreen.
3. Eat Your Vegetables
Just like drinking water. Glow from within is highly attributed to eating your greens. You can have the perfect skincare routine, but if you eat lots of junk food or sugar you’ll always be prone to breakouts. Eat your veggies today! 4. Use a separate towel to wipe your face
Whatever you do, please DO NOT use your bath towel on your face. I know that It’s very easy to just wipe your whole body with one towel. However, all you are doing is transferring bacteria from your body to your very sensitive face. Get yourself a soft & plush towel dedicated to just your face & wash it regularly! 5. Change pillowcases frequently
Your bedding should be changed and washed frequently at least once a week. Not only will it help your skin a lot by keeping bacteria off your face. There is no feeling better than the feel of clean sheets & pillowcases. 6. Switch to chemical exfoliating
Physical exfoliation does more harm than good. Those little grains that tend to be in physical exfoliants can cause micro abrasion on the surface of the skin because our skin is incredibly delicate. However, chemical exfoliants with AHA and BHA are much more gentle. Paula’s Choice BHA Liquid Exfoliant is the best on the market. Chemical exfoliants also help to improve your skin texture and complexion as well as fight acne and aging signs, while all renewing the skin. 7. Get Your 8 Hours of beauty rest
Last but not least, get your beauty sleep. As an insomniac, I suck at this. Other than genetics, puffy eyes & dark circles are mainly caused by lack of sleep. Getting your beauty rest is part of Self-care. You should be averaging around 7-8 hours of sleep nightly if you can. I hope you enjoy the round-up of some of the best beauty tricks every woman must know. Happy Monday and of course, stay fabulous.
